Hello everyone! Sean is letting me guest blog this entry, as I am way too excited about this announcement: Vogue Fabrics has become the official US Distributor for Farthingales corset supplies.
“Egads! Corsets?!” Yes. You would be amazed at how many people need steel and spiral boning for period and theatrical costumes, historical reenactment, bridal and evening wear, even to give more body to haute couture jackets.
Now you will have one stop shopping to pick up bones, busks, patterns plus all the fabrics and trims, producing a more complete shopping experience. These items will ship from our warehouse near Chicago, so shipping to all points in the US will be greatly reduced compared to shipping cross-country or from Canada.
You can read more about the distributorship in our Press Release, and view all the products on our site. Well, almost all. I still have a few more to upload, but I think you get the picture.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at myvoguefab@aol.com and I will be happy to respond.
Have a fantastic holiday season everyone!

Here's the Press Release:
Evanston, IL – Vogue Fabrics has become the official United States
distributor for Farthingales, one of North America’s most popular
suppliers of steel products for corset building.
“We’ve seen in Los Angeles that there is a high demand for fashion corsets to wear for special events as well as for going to the clubs at night,” says Linda Sparks, owner of Farthingales, and author of The Basics of Corset Building. “Now the opera houses, theater costumers, burlesque dancers and historical reenactment participants, as well as fashionable dressmakers, will have a more complete shopping experience.”
“Not only will customers be able to order the steel corset bones and busks, but they can also browse the thousands of fabrics for which Vogue Fabrics has become famous,” adds Rogie Sussman Faber, Director of Internet Operations for www.VogueFabricsStore.com.
All of the products that were available on www.FarthingalesLA.com will now be available on the Vogue Fabrics website. Not all items will be carried in the Vogue Fabrics Chicago area retail stores, but they will be available for Special Order from the Vogue Fabrics Warehouse, or they can be pre-ordered on-line and picked up in one of the stores.
